Used Filmmaking standard workflow in planning and execution of sequence, creating a script and a storyboard, before blocking out my shots in engine and creating a previsualisation render
Researched composition, colour theory, sound design, and lighting in relevant media, using that gained knowledge to inform my planning
Used Unreal Engines Landscaping tools and plugins to create various environments for each scene
I used sequencer to craft various shots and sequences
Used Unreal's cinematic tools such as camera, rig rail, and crane to create intended shots
Used sourced assets from various avenues to create intentional shots and scenes
Gained a deep understanding of how to use virtual filmmaking tools inside of Unreal Engine.
Further developed my understanding of worldbuilding through Unreal Engines landscaping tools and plugins such as 'Landmass' and ''Water', whilst using assets from sketchfab and megascans to build up the environment.
Gained a deeper understanding of UE5's material and texture manipulation to create landscape materials that enable customisation.
Explored the advanced capabilities of Metahumans and the various tools which support their use, such as the 'LiveLink' app.
This project helped me understand Cinematic Theory, being able to anyalyse techniques used in filmmaking through the use o, cinematography, light and colour, and editing.
