Created as my final year project at university, this technical project aimed to explore modern combat design techniques and tools to create a fluid and combat system. Utilising Animation Driven Actions, Enemy AI, and Data Table based combo behaviours.

Cosmic Crusader: Reloaded is an arcade style flight game where the player chooses from a range of ships and completes a number of missions, all whilst engaging in fast based flight combat against enemy ships.

Dragons & Debt is a 2-4 player party game where friends gather around one screen and battle it out in a fantasy world, collecting coins to give to the Dragon Lord, who has a monopoly on the realm. Navigate a treacherous arena, jumping, dashing and using magic cards, to avoid hazards as you collect coins and try to reach the balcony and deposit them to the Dragon Bank. Do all this whilst competing against your friends, racing to collect more coins than them and avoiding their advances to stop you!

2D - Metroidvania - Level Design
Oblivion Circuit is a vertical slice of a Metroidvania style 2D game where the player must navigate through an ancient temple area after their ship crash lands. Navigate through the environment using different types of energy which enhance the players abilities. Reach the end and face off against a Gollux, a mini-boss style enemy with unique attack patterns, whch tests the player on all they have learned prior.

2.5D - Wave Based Shooter - Space Vehicle Combat
Cosmic Crusader is a 2.5D space ship shooter, where the player controls a knight, who defends the galaxy by equipping their ship with an optimal loadout and launching into space, fighting progressively tougher waves of enemy spaceships. Every 5 waves, the player returns back to their Hangar, where they can spend 'scrap', earned from defeating enemies, to purchase better weaponry, gadgets, engines, and hulls.

'Empire Day' is a satirical propaganda video for the Galactic Empire within the Star Wars Universe, blending authoritarian film techniques, Star Wars conventions, and juxtaposing the serious tone with light-hearted humour, which pokes fun at the Empires flaws and self-righteous nature. This cinematic was created using Unreal Engine 5's sequencer and cinematic tools.

Bubble and Squeak is a short puzzle game where the player must pull back the tail of a mouse and fling them between different types of bubbles, whilst navigating through treacherous levels. Avoid deadly traps, collect gems, and reach the cheese house to complete the level!

Lancer is a first-person shooter game experience where the player utilises a variety of weapons and gadgets to navigate closer towards their objective of stopping the threat to the nearby facility. This game was created as part of a university module, with a basic framework already created with various functioning mechanics, the goal for the project was to expand upon the pre-existing content and form a quest based game experience, creating unique mechanics and sequences.
